Some Words with Sal Buscema

One of the all-time greatest Spider-Man artists, Sal Buscema speaks in the latest Crawl Space podcast. I had heard from Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz in previous podcasts that Sal was a great, down to earth guy, one of the best people you could ever know. After hearing him speak to fans and give advice, I couldn't agree with them more. In addition to being a spectacular artists, Sal is a standup guy.

Give it at listen. You'll find it enjoyable.

Spectacular artist? Of course
One of the best? Definitely
Except he had a period of time drawing a little bit ugly.

Heh, this cover you inserted shows Spider-Man squished by Rhino but in the interior he gives Rhino a fright and a black eye to remember to leave "Peter Parker" because he too has a family

Yeah, he tears the Rhino apart! XD

Sal changed his style throughout his run on Spectacular Spider-Man several times, which is rather interesting to compare and contrast with.

I think Sal also had some different inkers and it really screwed up his style at times.
