Clothes Make The Man

WARNING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT NARUTO'S PARENTAL BACKGROUND OR HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT WHO HIS FATHER WAS (it isn't hard to deduce at all, really) THEN YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS BLOG ENTRY. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

So the raw scans for Naruto chapter 430 have hit the net. Naruto is sporting a sweet jacket that is very similar to the one Minato, the fourth Hokage, wore. Minato was the baddest, most powerful shinobi that ever emerged from Konoha, and since Naruto is his son and he admire's the 4th so much, it's only natural that he'd don a jacket that's similar to the greatest ninja that ever lived. I've always hoped that some day Naruto would wear the jacket, or at least something that's close to it. I guess Kishimoto thought that Naruto should wear it someday as well. Gotta say, Naruto looks like one bad mofo in it.

If you're a bit behind on what's going on in the current Naruto chapters, here's the jist of it: Pein has come to Konoha looking for Naruto and left the leaf village a mere shell of it's former self. God only knows that the body count is and in chapter 429, Pein rocked the village with a huge explosion. Naruo has been training in the land of the toads (he's actually surpassed Jiraiya with his sage training) and they've recieved word (somewhat) that something is wrong in Konoha. So they warp back to the village, Naruto takes a look around and he is not happy. He takes out of the the Peins that attacks Tsunade instantly, no struggle whatsoever. A major fight is about to go down, folks.

Did I mention how awesome Naruto looks in that jacket? I gotta get me one of those.

Justice League: Doom

Watching DVDs on the computer is nice but sometimes it's better to watch them on TV. So after some thinking, I decided to get myself a new DVD player. This one is by Sony and it only set me back $40. Why didn't I get a Blu-Ray player? Because I'm not 100% sold on them. Besides, I hear the PS3 is a good Blu-Ray player as opposed to the PS2's DVD playback functionality, which was crap. When I get a PS3, I'll have Blu-Ray, so I can wait. And yet, when I bought my new DVD player, I picked up my first Blu-Ray movie. Well it came with Blu-Ray and DVD. Justice League: Doom is the latest DC Universe animated film. How prepared is Batman? Prepared to take down his own teammates, if it becomes necessary. Based off the Justice League of America: Tower of Babel story written by Mark Waid, JL: Doom explores Batman's paranoid nature. Batman has taken measures to stop each member of the Justice League should they ever go rouge or sub-come to mind control from ...

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

The first comic book series that I ever picked up actually was not Spider-Man, believe it or not. No, it was actually one of my favorite video game characters, Sonic the Hedgehog, back in 1993. My first issue was #2. When I was reading the book, the plots were pretty lighthearted, full of bad puns and plenty of good, clean humor. The last issue I bought was Sonic #25 in mid 1995. Needless to say, I haven't bought an issue of Sonic the Hedgehog in more than 10 years. I've been watching episodes of SatAM (Saturday AM, the term used to differentiate SatAM Sonic from Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Underground) Sonic the Hedgehog on YouTube over the last few days and it got me thinking about the current events taking place in the comics and what has happened since I last bought an issue. So I went on over to wiki and did some reading. A lot has happened to Sonic and friends since I've been away. Lots of changes. Good changes, though. Sonic has had more than one love ...
