Superman vs. Goku

Another sweet pic I came across. Don't know the artist, but man, this is one tight pic and it will make a sweet wallpaper.

The topic of Goku vs. Supes has been brought up many times in the past. Some say that Goku wouldn't even need to go to level 3 against Supes. Me? Well, I don't doubt the strength of the most powerful Saiyan, but the Kryptonian isn't exactly a pushover. Superman could probably wreck a couple of planets if he wanted to.

If these ever were to throw down, I'd want to watch the fight from another planet on TV. You've seen how powerful these dudes are. Just imagine neither one of them holding anything back.

Most of the time, it's a question of whether this is pre or post crisis Superman.

Without being a Super Saiyan, Goku does catch a mountain Frieza chucks at him, and perhaps on power alone, I'm thinking Goku would take Superman (esp. since his base power level increases with his training), but if you add in the destruction of planets, then Goku is in trouble. That's if Superman was going for the kill, natch.

Goku's best bet would be to instant transmission somewhere off-planet he can reach, although that wouldn't win the fight for him, it'd just prevent him from being killed.


I suppose other factors would be speed. I'm not sure how often they show Superman incorporated speed in his fighting, but I know they sure as heck do in Dragonball, plus that can be used for the after-image technique. Perhaps the most memorable usage of it is during the fight with Cell, when you think the Kienzan energy discs cut Goku, but they only cut an after-image.

I also remember SSJ3 Gotenks circling the Earth multiple times in seconds just for the hell of it.

I think there is going to be a draw unless Goku manages to shoot Kryptonite or Red Sun ray out of his hands :p.

Superman doesn't change the mountains shape and place when he fights, Goku & crew do so

They won't stay pure hearts if they destroyed planets now would they?

Goku does use his abilities more than Supes would so now that I think about it, he probably would win. And I always forget about pre or post Crisis Superman. Freaking DC.

Composer Shout Out: Yuji Ohno

For my money, one of the best composers in the music business would have to be Yuji Ohno. This guys is mostly known for his work on just about anything that has to do with Lupin III. After the last few weeks, it's hard for me not to think of Ohno's compositions when Lupin comes to mind. (I've been listening to his various albums to get my jazz fix.) Ohno's works are primarily jazz-inspired and even some of his earliest efforts on Lupin music in the '70s is still considered extraordinary. Not only has he covered music for the various Lupin series and movies, he's also done music for all three PS2 Lupin games. The man is also an accomplished musical genius even when he isn't working on music for Lupin. Tokyo City Lights is a jazz masterpiece. R.I.P Mickey Mouse

In case you haven't heard , Wayne Allwine, the voice actor of Mickey Mouse passed away at the age of 62. He had been voice the world's most famous mouse since 1977. The original voice actor for Mickey was Walt Disney himself. Allwine's imitation of Disney's voice was spot on. Most of the the Mickey Mouse cartoons I've seen were voiced by Allwine. 'Tis a sad day in cartoon history. R.I.P, Wayne Allwine.

Spectacular Art of Andie Tong

Andie Tong is the regular artist of the Spectacular Spider-Man's UK comic book. Now I haven't read any of the issues, but I did come across his deviant art page last night, which feature some of the pages from what looks to be a superb comic. I love all the quirky posses Andie draws Spidey in. He also does a terrific job on the webbing and the half-mask. I can take big or small eyes on a Spider-Man mask, but I think Andie gets the right combo. The eyes aren't too big and they aren't too small. Andie also draws a very excellent Green Goblin. It'd be sweet if he could do the art for some of the Spider books in the states. James Offredi does the coloring on Andie's artwork. Needless to say, James does an amazing job, making Andie's already gorgeous art look even better. I know its only artwork and I haven't read any of these issues, but from what I've seen, it looks like the stories in the Spectacular Spider-Man UK book are a heck of a lot more interes...
